Join us for a visit to the Galena and US Grant Museum to explore Galena’s history, famous artworks and exhibits on history of mining and steam boating. There are two floors with stairs to access the top floor. We will then enjoy a classic Italian lunch at Vinny Vanucchi’s of penne marinara, baked lasagna and chicken cacciatore accompanied by salad and breadsticks. Then it’s time to shop! Explore the whole downtown area, self-guided, and visit the street voted one of “America’s Best Main Streets.” With over 125 storefronts, there is so much to do! A bus snack will be provided for the trip home. Extensive walking. Transportation via recreation van to Crystal Lake; coach transportation from there to Galena. Registration deadline Tue, July 1.
